Monoflo collapsible bulk containers are new, factory-made folding pallet containers that we quote and order for programs needing one consistent spec from the first unit to the last. Choose a BC series footprint and height, confirm doors and lids for the exact model, and we price the order delivered to your ZIP.
Monoflo collapsible bulk containers, built new for your program
Monoflo is one of the manufacturer brands we quote when a buyer wants new collapsible bulk containers rather than yard stock. Monoflo models are factory orders: every container in the run comes from the same production, with the same footprint, height, door layout and base. That uniformity is the main reason buyers specify Monoflo collapsible bulk containers for closed-loop parts programs, supplier-to-plant shipping lanes and handling systems where every container has to behave the same way.
On this site the Monoflo range is grouped as the BC series, and the product listings use the label "foldable bulk shipping cargo container." Whatever the label, the equipment is the same type: a heavy-duty plastic pallet container with an integrated base and walls that fold down when the container is empty. If you are still deciding between makers, the shop by brand overview puts Monoflo, ORBIS and Buckhorn side by side.
Monoflo BC series footprints and listed heights
The table reflects the Monoflo footprints and standing heights in our existing model listings. Sizes are nominal size families in inches. The exact exterior, usable interior and rated capacity belong to the specific model, so confirm them on the quote before you check racks, conveyors or trailer loading patterns. The table does not indicate current stock.
| Nominal footprint | Listed standing heights | What to know |
| 24 × 44.5 | 25″ | A narrow half-width footprint for small-parts lines and tight aisles. |
| 32 × 30 | 25″ · 34″ | Compact AIAG size for smaller parts and tight aisles. The current second-generation BC 3230 has larger side access doors and a two-piece welded base. The BC3230-34 shown in our product photos is the 34-inch version. |
| 48 × 40 | 34″ · 39″ | Matches the standard GMA pallet footprint. Optional sidewall doors on the 48-inch or 40-inch side, and FDA-approved material is available. |
| 48 × 45 | 25″ · 27″ · 33″ · 34″ · 35″ · 42″ · 50″ | The common automotive and industrial footprint, built with a 48 × 44.5-inch exterior. The 33″ and 35″ models have a storage bottom; the 42″ and 50″ models use a collar system for extended height. |
Need a size outside this list? Browse the full footprint range or the 48×45 collapsible bulk containers page and ask whether a Monoflo model fits. If one does not, another brand or a reconditioned lot may cover the size.

What to expect from a Monoflo container
Features vary by model, so treat this as the typical layout and confirm features for the exact model you order.
Fold-flat walls
Walls typically fold down onto the base when the container is empty, shrinking it to a fraction of its assembled height so empties return and store in far less space.
Drop doors
Many models have a drop door on one or more sides, so operators can reach parts near the floor without leaning into the container. Door count and position differ between models.
Integrated pallet base
The base is molded into the container with 4-way forklift entry, so there is no separate wood pallet to source, repair or track.
Construction is heavy-duty plastic, HDPE or polypropylene depending on the model. Lids and dividers are typically optional and are matched to the model. Loaded containers stack when kept within the model's rated capacity; check the rated capacity and stacking arrangement for the exact model rather than relying on a footprint-level figure.
What "made to order" means for a Monoflo order
New Monoflo containers do not ship from our Pennsville, New Jersey or Tampa, Florida yards the way reconditioned and used containers do. They are produced for the order, which changes a few things:
- Minimums are higher. Factory orders carry a larger minimum quantity than yard stock. Minimums vary by condition and model, and we confirm the figure for your size on the quote.
- Timing follows the production schedule. We confirm availability and timing when we quote rather than promising a date up front.
- Specs are settled before production. Footprint, height, door arrangement, lids and any marking requests need to be agreed before the order is placed.
- Freight is quoted to your ZIP. Smaller orders move LTL; full truckloads are quoted individually.
If you need containers sooner or in smaller quantities, compare reconditioned collapsible bulk containers, which are inspected, cleaned and repaired and ship from our yards with lower minimums.
Where Monoflo containers fit best
Buyers usually choose new Monoflo collapsible bulk containers when consistency matters more than the lowest upfront cost:
- Returnable parts programs. Supplier and plant agree on one container spec, and every unit in the loop is identical. The returnable shipping guide covers how folded empties cut return space.
- Line-side and work in process. Uniform heights and door positions keep pick faces consistent at the line. The manufacturing parts guide covers dunnage and dividers.
- Brand-new fleets. Starting a program with one model is simpler than sorting a mixed lot into matched sets.
Monoflo compared with other options
Monoflo, ORBIS and Buckhorn all make heavy-duty plastic collapsible containers for the same kinds of work. The practical differences are which model families and footprints each brand offers, how doors and lids are arranged, and the exact exterior dimensions behind a nominal size. In our listings Monoflo covers the 32×30, 48×40 and 48×45 families, while ORBIS bulk containers extend into longer footprints up to 78×48. Neither brand is the better choice in general; the right one is the model that fits your parts, your handling equipment and any fleet you already run.
Against reconditioned or used containers, new Monoflo stock gives you one matched spec and a full service life from day one, at a higher unit cost and a higher minimum. Used containers are sold as returned from service in mixed brands, which can work well for storage or one-way moves where matching matters less.
Monoflo selection checklist
- Measure the parts and decide on the usable interior you need, allowing for dividers or protective dunnage.
- Pick the footprint that suits your racks, conveyors, trailers and pallet positions.
- Choose a standing height your operators can work from, with or without a drop door.
- Confirm the door layout, lid and divider options for the exact model.
- Check the rated capacity and stacking arrangement against your heaviest load.
- Note dock, liftgate or forklift requirements at the delivery address.
Mistakes to avoid
- Reading a 48×45 label as exactly 48 by 45 inches; confirm the listed exterior.
- Assuming lids, doors or panels interchange with another brand because the footprint matches.
- Choosing the tallest height by habit; a taller container is not better if operators cannot reach the bottom.
- Leaving freight and receiving details until after the order is placed.

Frequently asked questions
Are Monoflo collapsible bulk containers available from yard stock?
New Monoflo containers are factory orders produced for your order rather than held in our yards. Minimums are higher than for reconditioned or used containers, and timing follows the production schedule. We confirm the minimum, availability and timing on the quote. If you need a smaller quantity sooner, ask about reconditioned containers in a similar footprint from our Pennsville, NJ or Tampa, FL yards.
What sizes does the Monoflo BC series come in?
The Monoflo BC series covers 24×44.5 at 25 inches, 32×30 at 25 and 34 inches, 48×40 at 34 and 39 inches, and 48×45 at 25, 27, 33, 34, 35, 42 and 50 inches. The 48×45 family is built with a 48 × 44.5-inch exterior; the 33 and 35-inch models have a storage bottom and the 42 and 50-inch models extend with a collar. The specification table on this page lists exterior, interior, collapsed height, weight and trailer counts for each model.
How do I match Monoflo containers I already own?
Read the molded manufacturer name and model number on the container, measure the footprint and standing height, and photograph the base and access doors. Send those with your quantity and delivery ZIP. We use the model number, not the footprint alone, to confirm that lids, doors and stacking interfaces will line up with your current fleet.
Will Monoflo lids or parts fit ORBIS or Buckhorn containers?
Not necessarily. Containers that share a nominal footprint can still differ in exterior dimensions, lid seating, hinge design, door arrangement and stacking interface. Match lids, dividers and replacement parts to the exact Monoflo model. If you run a mixed fleet, tell us every model involved and we will check compatibility before quoting.
What is the load capacity of a Monoflo container?
Every Monoflo BC series bulk container is rated for a working capacity of up to 1,800 lb. How many loaded containers you can stack depends on the load, the model height and how they are supported, so tell us your heaviest expected load and we will confirm the stacking arrangement on the quote.
How are Monoflo containers delivered?
Freight is quoted to your delivery ZIP. Smaller orders typically move by LTL freight, and full truckloads are quoted individually. Tell us whether the site has a dock, needs a liftgate, or has forklift equipment to unload, since that affects how the shipment is booked and priced.
