What are collapsible bulk containers?
Collapsible bulk containers, also called collapsible pallet containers, pallet boxes or bulk bins, are heavy-duty reusable HDPE containers built on an integrated pallet base. When empty, the sidewalls fold flat, so returns and storage take a fraction of the space of a rigid bin. They move by forklift or pallet jack, stack and rack, and are built for hundreds of trips through warehouse, manufacturing and returnable-packaging loops.
Standard footprints of 32×30, 48×40 and 48×45 fit most racks and trailers. Oversized footprints from 56×48 to 78×48 handle long, flat or irregular parts.

Choosing a size. Start with the footprint that fits your pallets, racking or trailer, then choose a height for your load. Measure the part, any dividers or dunnage, and the loaded weight first. Compare 48×45 and 48×40 for the most common programs.
Material and capacity. Most are injection-molded HDPE, which resists moisture and chemicals. Standard models are rated from 1,500 to 2,500 lb depending on footprint and manufacturer, so confirm the rating for the model you choose.
Collapse ratio. The collapse ratio is roughly 2.5:1 to 3:1 on common heights, so several empties fit in the space of one assembled container. Up to 252 collapsed 48×45 units fit a 53′ trailer, versus 84 standing, which is why backhaul freight is the main saving in closed-loop programs.
Options. Drop doors give front or side access without lifting the container off the rack. Lids, corrugated or foam dividers and ESD-safe or Class A protective inserts are available on many models. See container lids.
Export. Plastic containers are ISPM 15 exempt, so no heat treatment or fumigation is needed on international lanes.

What is the difference between new, reconditioned and used?
New containers are factory orders from Monoflo and Orbis with uniform specs and a 1–4 week lead time. Reconditioned units are inspected and cleaned, and ship in 1–3 business days. Used is the lowest cost per unit, and availability varies by size, so call for current counts.
Is there a minimum order?
There is no minimum on reconditioned stock, and any quantity ships. Used minimums vary by size. New containers are usually ordered in program quantities, and custom divider configurations need 20 units per configuration.
How fast do you ship, and is freight included?
