Divide the container to protect the parts
Corrugated, foam and plastic divider systems turn one collapsible bulk container into a grid of protected cells. Send the container footprint and interior height, the part size and the number of parts per load, and we quote a divider layout with the containers or for the containers you already run.
Choosing a divider system
Corrugated plastic dividers
Slotted corrugated plastic (coroplast) partitions assembled into a cell grid. Light, washable and the lowest cost per cell. Suited to machined and stamped parts that need separation more than cushioning, and to return loops where dividers ride back inside the collapsed container.
Foam dividers and inserts
Cross-linked polyethylene or polyurethane foam cut to the part profile. Protects painted, plated and Class A surfaces and locks parts against movement during freight. Specify the part drawing or sample so the cavity can be cut to size.
Fabric, thermoformed and layer systems
Textile dunnage, thermoformed trays and layer pads for parts that stack in levels. Used when parts need to stay oriented for robotic or line-side picking, or when the same container alternates between part numbers.
Before ordering divider systems
Confirm the container
Footprint, interior height and whether the container has drop doors. Dividers are cut to the interior, not the nominal size, so send the model or the footprint page you selected.
Describe the part
Part dimensions, weight and surface sensitivity, plus the parts per container you want to ship. A drawing or a photo with a ruler is enough for a first layout.
Plan the return trip
Say whether dividers must collapse with the container, nest in a separate tote, or stay in the container at the customer. This decides between corrugated, foam and fabric.
Pair dividers with the right container
Most divider layouts start from a 48 x 45 or 48 x 40 footprint at 34 in. or 42 in. tall. Browse new containers for a standardized program, or reconditioned containers when the dividers carry the protection. Container lids complete a covered, dividered load.
